Pacific Northwest Foods....Mmmm...Mmmm...

It is pretty easy to pick edible mushrooms once you find them, but what do you do with them when you get them home?

I only know a few ways to cook them, and I'm always looking for more.  So this part of the web site is intended to let you know how my new recipes go, and hopefully hear some our your proven recipes.  Photos are encouraged.

In addition, what should you do with all all those mushrooms from the mother load you just found?   You can't eat them all in one or two meals.  You should preserve them.  Preserving mushrooms can be done in a few different ways.  To find out more check out our Preserving Fresh Mushrooms Page.

Lastly, one late night I stumbled upon a great website dedicated to wild foods.  It's called Cooking North of Seattle, and it's a website about cooking with Pacific Northwest ingredients! The Pacific Northwest is a great place to get ingredients like Dungeness crabs, Oregon shrimp, and all kinds of great greens.  In addition, another website that takes a look at everything Pacific Northwest, including all kinds of foods, is Got Your Sass.  Take a moment to check out these cool websites because if you live in the Pacific Northwest, you should know how to cook the bounty of fresh foods that are at your fingertips.
